Hey Everyone!

I’ve never been a huge fan of powder foundations – they end up being cakey and dry and most of all, they don’t provide as much coverage as liquid foundations but I might start changing my mind. The new SILKYGIRL Magic BB All – in – One Powder Foundation is something I’ve been trying out and I’ve recently discovered thanks to SILKYGIRL. Today I’ll tell you my thoughts about it and plus I’ll show you a lip favourite I’ve been loving which is the new SILKYGIRL Matte Fever Lipcolor Balms! I’ll also be giving you a few powder foundation tips at the end too so let’s get started!

Hey Everyone!

Today I want to share with you a BB cream that I have been madly in love with – it’s the Curel BB Cream! I have been using it for about a month now and I love how suitable it is for people with sensitive skin like me because of its great coverage and it’s technology that strengthens my skin against possible irritants. If you have sensitive skin, you’d know finding a good foundation or bb cream is a difficult task. If you have acne scars, most bb creams aren’t able to cover it up because they don’t have as good a coverage as liquid foundations. If you have dry and flaky skin, most bb creams aren’t smooth or creamy enough to look smooth over that particular area. Trust me, I’ve had problems in all those areas but finally, I really feel like there’s something that I can make my new go-to base! It’s suitable and gentle for sensitive skin because of its Ceramide Care technology that increases your skin’s resilience! Curel’s ceramide care technology effectively replenishes ceramide, an essential ingredient that sensitive skin lacks. It also boosts your skin’s natural barrier function and protects it from external irritation. This is seriously one of the best BB creams I have ever tried. Let’s take a closer look at it.

I have been absolutely in love with two brow products lately – the Shu Uemura Hard Formula and Brow:sword. Both offer the chance at amazing brows but both shouldn’t be mistaken as the same. In fact, Hard Formula has been around for ages and Brow:sword is only a recent release. Let’s see how they stack up!

The Package:

Straight up, the Shu Uemura Brow:sword is the most versatile and easy to use. It is an automatic pencil that does not have to be sharpened and it comes with a spoolee on one end. Unlike other brow pencils, the tip of the pencil is a slanted line making it easy to draw the individual hairs of the brow. The pencil also comes with an inbuilt sharpener that you can take out to make the end pointier and the product is totally refillable too.

Today I’m doing a review of a new foundation find – the Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Foundation SPF 40 PA++. I’ll be giving you my honest opinion and a quick tutorial on how best to apply it. Foundation has always been a must-have for me – it corrects uneven skin and redness and provides a neat base for the rest of your make-up. Bobbi Brown thought why not mix the best of skincare with an amazing foundation so they came up with this – the Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Foundation.

The coolest thing about this foundation is that Bobbi Brown has tapped into TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) to come up with ingredients like Cordyceps, Bamboo Grass and Lychee Extracts. Cordyceps is a type of mushroom that has super health enhancing properties and has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. Bobbi Brown has combined these ingredients with signature skin-tone correct pigments in a process called bi-phase cold fusion that allows the skincare actives to stay potent and to fuse seamlessly with foundation pigments. What you get is a super fine emulsion that floats over the skin surface so that your skin looks smoother, firmer and more radiant. As Bobbi Brown says -“This will change your skin – inside and out”. All in all, it’s a very interesting concept.

Hey Everyone!

I’ve always been more of a foundation girl, much more than bb or cc creams. It’s just that my skin has always been on perpetual breakout mode these days so I feel like I need the coverage and finding a good coverage foundation can be difficult. Some can feel too thick resulting in a cakey mess or others just don’t hit the coverage spot. One foundation I’ve been loving is Dior’s latest foundation – the Dior Diorskin Star that I have been in love with!

I was invited to try out this foundation first at the Dior counters. The Dior sales assistant told me that this foundation is special because of the particles inside that reflect light on all dimensions – similar to how a sphere reflects light. They also had this device at the counter that measures automatically what shade you are. I was a mix of two shades – 010 and 020 but I find that I always pick the lightest shade so I went with the darker one. It’s a little too dark though. As much as I love Dior foundations, I feel like they never have my perfect shade so this ends up being a little darker than I’d like. But the weird thing is, when I first apply it on my skin, it looks really fair.  A few minutes pass, it does change color a little bit resulting in a darker tone. That’s I guess something to keep in mind if you want to get one for yourself.
