If you ask me what are my favourite Korean make-up brands, I will definitely say that one of them is Innisfree! Their products are amazing and affordable and walking into any of their stores is simply therapeutic. But, if you are short of time, online shopping is always a good cure so today I wanna tell you what was in my Innisfree World Global Shopping Mall haul and show you an easy breezy, “no brushes needed” make-up tutorial that you can do with Innisfree products. Let’s get started and see what’s inside this box!

This is the look that I’ll be doing today. It’s super easy to do and you don’t need to use any make-up brushes or fiddle with eye-shadow. Let’s get started!

Today I thought I would do a tutorial on my everyday make-up routine! I change it up from time to time and I have been absolutely loving the products I’ve been reaching for daily so I thought now would be a great time to show you! Out of the lot, my must-haves are the Laniege Pore Control BB Cushion, Laniege Water Drop Tint, 3CE Full Cover Concealer and the Loreal False Lash Butterfly Mascara. I can’t do without these and I will for sure probably re-purchase when I run out. I always have my 3CE Full Cover Concealer & Laniege Water Drop Tint in my bag in case!

I’ve been getting used to using an eyebrow pencil lately and have been really liking the strong brow look. I usually use an eyebrow powder but at times I feel that it can’t do super sharp lines and it’s pigmentation is obviously lacking too. It’s good as a natural brow but for something with a little kick, I’ve been using a pencil. Probably the most popular eyebrow pencil is a particular one from M.A.C called Spiked. I’ll be doing a little tutorial on how easy strong brows can be!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

First of all, the M.A.C Spiked Eye Brows Pencil is pretty amazing. It comes as a thin pencil that is thankfully automatic so you don’t have to sharpen it. It also has quite a narrow tip so that drawing specific lines is quite convenient. Spiked is a chocolate brown that is quite dark and more suitable for very dark brown to black hair tones. Although it’s really whatever floats your boat. A general rule of thumb is that your brows should be no more than 1 or 2 shades lighter than your hair color.

Today I’m going to be doing a review and tutorial of a gorgeous eye palette – the Lancome Hypnose Palette Star Eyes in Brun Au Naturel! I have been loving this lately and I also have another shade in Taupe Au Naturel. They give the prettiest and most naturally enhancing eye looks in a simple compact form that is easy to carry to work or wherever you’re headed!

The palette boasts an innovative “wet” eyeshadow technology that allows the shadow to have a range of intensities with a multi dimensional and even texture! They’re pigmented and although they have matte shades, they aren’t chalky which is really important. The palette comes with 5 colors that you can use for day to night make-up and two types of applicators which do come in handy on the go.

Smokey eye make-up on Asian lids can be a little tricky. I’ve had tons of ladies telling me they’re hopeless at it and that they always end up looking like Kung Fu Panda’s sister or even worse, punched in the eye. Today I thought I’d do a make-up tutorial on how you can get smokey eye makeup for asian eyes. It’s really simple. The main idea is that you don’t go overboard and too high above the crease. Be subtle about it. Asian eyes tend to be a lot smaller so you want to add colour gradually and specifically.

For this tutorial, I’ll be using the Guerlain Ecrin 2 Couleurs Palette – in 04 Two Gossip! It’s such a beautiful palette. Guerlain packaging is amazing. This little palette comes in 2 colours – a rosy peach gold and a matte deep purple. I just love the glossy and sleek casing and the eye-shadow quality and texture is amazing. I highly recommend this palette and I love how the colours complement each other so well.

There’s probably only one reason why I don’t like doing Gel nails. They’re hard to take off and until today, I though you’d always have to pay someone to take them off. Gel nail polish isn’t like ordinary nail polish. It usually lasts a month, uses UV light to set and regular nail polish won’t be able to get rid of it (when you want to of course). In Singapore, this whole thing sets you back 20 – 25 dollars and that already is more than half a regular manicure – and that’s just removing the gel nail polish! I got my gel nails done because I was doing them in Indonesia and a week later I had to host a video for a client where it was uber important to have good lookin’ nails. I thought why not save a few dollars and do them cheaper and make them last longer so I don’t have to do them again in Singapore. Regularly though, I never opt for this option. I like changing the color of my nails regularly so I don’t need gel manicures. Unfortunately, I was about to go to the salon and pay them extra to take these off…until…I figured out how to do the soak off myself! If you wanna same some moohlah for a meal, then stay tuned!
