Hey Everyone!

Today I want to share with you a BB cream that I have been madly in love with – it’s the Curel BB Cream! I have been using it for about a month now and I love how suitable it is for people with sensitive skin like me because of its great coverage and it’s technology that strengthens my skin against possible irritants. If you have sensitive skin, you’d know finding a good foundation or bb cream is a difficult task. If you have acne scars, most bb creams aren’t able to cover it up because they don’t have as good a coverage as liquid foundations. If you have dry and flaky skin, most bb creams aren’t smooth or creamy enough to look smooth over that particular area. Trust me, I’ve had problems in all those areas but finally, I really feel like there’s something that I can make my new go-to base! It’s suitable and gentle for sensitive skin because of its Ceramide Care technology that increases your skin’s resilience! Curel’s ceramide care technology effectively replenishes ceramide, an essential ingredient that sensitive skin lacks. It also boosts your skin’s natural barrier function and protects it from external irritation. This is seriously one of the best BB creams I have ever tried. Let’s take a closer look at it.

I’ve been trying out a face mask recently and it’s the new Skin Inc Get Glowin’ Brightening mask! You rarely get instant gratification from a single application of a product, and this mask changes the game.  The Skin Inc Get Glowin’ Brightening Mask, formerly known as the Pure Snow White Mask is the perfect beauty weapon to combat dull skin and is the ultimate tool for a pre-party prep.  It is able to lighten spots with continuous use in just 14 days.  This was me with brightened skin after using the mask once!

The mask, which has recently become available in North America as well, is brightening, hydrating and has anti-aging properties.  The hero ingredient of the Skin Inc Get Glowin’ Brightening Mask is actually Scutellaria Baicalensis extract and water molecules which Skin Inc nanonizes using advanced nano technology that reduces molecule size to 100mm so that particles can penetrate the skin faster and better! The ingredient Scutellaria Baicalensis is surrounded by a lecithin layer that makes it easier to be absorbed by the skin and the nanonized water boosts hydration levels of the mask so that you get a product that brightens your skin while not drying it out! This was me with bare skin before using the mask – no products, no nothing. Let’s give it a try!

I have been absolutely in love with two brow products lately – the Shu Uemura Hard Formula and Brow:sword. Both offer the chance at amazing brows but both shouldn’t be mistaken as the same. In fact, Hard Formula has been around for ages and Brow:sword is only a recent release. Let’s see how they stack up!

The Package:

Straight up, the Shu Uemura Brow:sword is the most versatile and easy to use. It is an automatic pencil that does not have to be sharpened and it comes with a spoolee on one end. Unlike other brow pencils, the tip of the pencil is a slanted line making it easy to draw the individual hairs of the brow. The pencil also comes with an inbuilt sharpener that you can take out to make the end pointier and the product is totally refillable too.

The perfect sunscreen for me is one that is lightweight and blends super well so that it leaves no white overcast and still offers me the protection I need. It’s been blistering hot in Singapore these days and a sunscreen is of utmost importance for everyone to be integrating in their skincare routine. A great sunscreen prevents an array of skin issues like pigmentation and even wrinkles further on in life. The main issue is that most sunscreens look super white on the skin and are too oily which makes make-up junkies like me super sad because how am I supposed to put make-up on something like that? Thankfully, I’ve found two sunscreens both from KOSÉ that are super lightweight and leave no overcast at all. They’re the KOSÉ SEKKISEI Sun Protect Essence Milk SPF 50 PA++++ and KOSÉ SEKKISEI Sun Protect Essence Gel SPF 50 PA++++ that I’ll be reviewing today.

Today I’m doing a review of a new foundation find – the Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Foundation SPF 40 PA++. I’ll be giving you my honest opinion and a quick tutorial on how best to apply it. Foundation has always been a must-have for me – it corrects uneven skin and redness and provides a neat base for the rest of your make-up. Bobbi Brown thought why not mix the best of skincare with an amazing foundation so they came up with this – the Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Foundation.

The coolest thing about this foundation is that Bobbi Brown has tapped into TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) to come up with ingredients like Cordyceps, Bamboo Grass and Lychee Extracts. Cordyceps is a type of mushroom that has super health enhancing properties and has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. Bobbi Brown has combined these ingredients with signature skin-tone correct pigments in a process called bi-phase cold fusion that allows the skincare actives to stay potent and to fuse seamlessly with foundation pigments. What you get is a super fine emulsion that floats over the skin surface so that your skin looks smoother, firmer and more radiant. As Bobbi Brown says -”This will change your skin – inside and out”. All in all, it’s a very interesting concept.

I’m always on the hunt for a good sunscreen that does well under make-up. Most sunscreens out there leave a very oily residue and a white overcast when applied which often leaves your foundation slipping and sliding when you apply it over top. I’ve been using Chanel’s newest sunscreen lately – the Chanel Sublimage La Protection UV in SPF 50 and have been loving the light texture that almost disappears when applied. This sunscreen is great under make-up which I appreciate so here’s my review!

The Chanel Sublimage La Protection UV in SPF 50 combines both anti-ageing skincare and sunscreen into one with an advanced formula that targets DNA and the stem cell microenvironment. For anti-ageing action, Chanel has incorporated Vanilla planifolia, vanilla from Madagascar known for its regenerating properties that helps prevent the appearance of wrinkles while liquorice root extract lessens pigmentation and dark spots. It is also known for its creamy texture that turns into a powdery matte finish after application.
