How good would it be if you could max out the time you need to shave again? For me, it’s always such a hassle and dealing with shaving creams and razors are not fun. So after exploring other hair removal options, I thought I’d give IPL Hair Removal a try. IPL hair removal is different in that it uses light to slow down the growth of hair overtime and the hair also grows back much lighter and thinner than before. In this way, you won’t have to shave so much anymore and it’s more effective over the long run. Ginza Calla at Plaza Singapura is a popular place to have IPL hair removal because not only do they carry out the treatment for you but they are all about post treatment care as well.
Ginza Calla is an already famous and renowned hair removal specialist in Japan. There are in fact over 20 shops across Japan, 3 in Shanghai and 2 in Hong Kong so they are for sure not new in the market. They pride themselves in taking personalised care in each individual’s hair quality and hair type and their ultimate purpose is to take care of your skin while performing IPL hair removal. Ginza Calla in fact has their 美肌潤美 BIHADA-JUNBI – which is a post-treatment moisturising lotion that helps skin become soft and supple.
I love how clean the place is but still elegant. It’s extremely relaxing when you visit and it’s not a stressful atmosphere at all. The first thing you do is fill out a form with your particulars. As you’re dealing with IPL, there are a few precautions. Anyone who is pregnant or has pigmentation issues should avoid IPL for the time being.
Then I was given a little lesson on hair growth! Each hair you have is going through a different hair cycle. IPL should be done every three months and more results will be seen with subsequent visits. The hair will grow back after 3 months when your next IPL treatment is due.
Ginza Calla is different because of its pulse frequency per shot. The pulse frequency is higher than the average machine. They also gradually increase the frequency so it’s not an all at once kind of thing. I was brought to my room to do the treatment!
It was clean, tidy and sufficient. They have to put the plastic sheet on so that the protective gel doesn’t get on the towels.
Before IPL is conducted, the specialist applied a generous layer of protective gel over my legs. By the way, I wish I had supermodel legs to show you but I am extremely far from that. I hope you love me anyway!
Then it was time for the treatment. I had a towel over my eyes as the machine really does emit a very bright light when the pulses are being given. I wouldn’t say I didn’t feel anything, I did feel it when it pulsed but it was relatively painless. Just a few snaps here and there but nothing really crazy! I kinda feels like a warm spoon touching you -if that makes sense. The treatment is also really quick which is nice.
Then for post-treatment (what Ginza Calla is known for), the specialist sprayed on the BIHADA-JUNBI or lotion on my legs. It felt really cool like a powder and my legs were super smooth after.
Overall, I had a great experience at Ginza Calla and it’s worth checking out. Better yet, there’s a few promotions happening now!
$50 for any 1 of the following 4 parts:
Underarm/ Upper Lip/ Back of Hands & Fingers/ Toes and Feet and good news, it’s an unlimited plan which also means you can do it as frequently as you want. And not only that, you will also get to experience a whitening mask treatment on your under arm when you sign up for this promotion.
$2 for any smalls parts when you purchase the small parts unlimited plans for $388.
Small parts are highlighted in red as per image below! You will also be entitled to a 1x whitening mask on your underarm or v-line when you purchase this promotion too!
$68 for 3 sessions of Full Brazillian with that amazing whitening mask or Unlimited full Brazilian IPL for only $2,380. Brazilian IPL is one of Ginza Calla’s speciality and you know you’d want someone really professional for your V area.
The number of IPL treatment sessions varies with each individual and it usually takes at least 3 sessions for results to show and at least 12 – 18 sessions for a truly fuzz-free Brazilian area! In this case, the unlimited plan totally rocks. Split $2,380 by 18 sessions and it only works out to $100+ per IPL treatment. And I bet you’ll be going more than 18 times.
