YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation Review!

Hey Everyone!

I love this foundation. It is so good. I’m sure you know that I’ve tried countless bottles of foundation. There were a few misses, hits but a few rare I love yous. This has gotta be an “I love you”. Today I’ll be doing a review on the YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat! I’ve been a long time believer in YSL’s cult product – the Touch Eclat (YSL’s pen highlighter) – so I was very much keen to try this foundation out. Plus, I was at an event and I was talking to the beauty editor at Cosmo and when asked what her favourite foundation of the moment was, she quickly replied with this particular bottle! And after trying out for a month, I have to agree.

First of all the packaging again is classy and sophisticated. I love the gold accents of the bottles from YSL in any of their beauty products. One side of the bottle is the Yves Saint Laurent logo and the other bottle says in caps – Le Teint Touche Eclat. The only gripe I have about it is that as you can see – the pump doesn’t really protrude out like other foundations do. It’s really tight and small. When you pump the foundation out onto the back of your hand, it kinda smears all over making it quite messy. Thankfully though, the cap isn’t clear or you’ll think it was quite messy.

The texture of the foundation is great. It’s not too runny, and not too thick and creamy. It’s really a perfect balance between the two. Aft first touch, it feels quite creamy but when you press your fingertips together, it’s as light as water. It’s interesting. I was also rather surprised when the sales assistant at the store handed me the shade in B50. I’m naturally an NC30 in M.A.C and B50 in the bottle looks rather gray and too dark. Thankfully though, it blends out to my perfect shade. That’s probably something you wanna look out for when you get it. Best to actually apply it at the store before you buy it so you know you’re getting the right shade.

So here’s my bare face! I like to apply this foundation with a sponge – specifically the Shu Uemura Lightbulb sponge (which I really love) – just because it makes a fast and easy application. However, applying it with a brush like a synthetic kabuki also works well. I don’t really like applying foundation with my hands so I haven’t tried that option but I’m sure you’d be set with any kind of method or tool.

And here it is! Don’t you see the dramatic difference?  My skin looks absolutely flawless. It’s so amazing because my skin looks like skin but it’s managed to cover with high to medium coverage! The formula is so fine that it really has just formed that perfect foundation layer. I also have a very nice glow too. If you want perfect skin, this foundation helps you with that in an instant. I love it. It also lasts a lot longer than normal foundations do too. I found that this foundation really does stay on most of the day with minimal fading. Can you imagine? It covers well, feels so light just like skin and lasts most of the day.

Probably the only thing I don’t like about it is the smell. It’s really strong and hard to describe. At first smell, it’s not unpleasant at all. It smells okay and to some people – nice. However, it can get a little overpowering when you’re applying it all over your face. You might wanna give it a whiff before you make a purchase just in case you’re not too keen. Overall though, it’s amazing and really something you should check out. It’s for sure pricey but if you get it at the airport duty free, you should be alright. Hope you liked this post!

I’m so sorry that I didn’t blog for a week already! I actually just finished doing make-up straight for 4 days and I’m totally exhausted, haha. The week has not ended yet even and I’m doing make-up everyday of this week! God is really amazing and I can’t complain – despite waking up really early to go to work. I guess when you’re on your own, you really see each job opportunity as a gift and not something to be taken for granted. Talk Soon but in the meantime, do follow me on instagram @roseannetangrs! :)
