More exciting news first! I’m going to Sydney tomorrow for IMATS on Saturday after a talk with Dad. Super duper excited. Tickets are booked, and the theme this time is Alice in Wonderland, of course one of my favourite tales. Super duper excited. Breathe Roseanne. And look, I’m blogging. Finally, those 2 weeks of hell are over and now i’m able to prance around for at least a few days before I start burry-ing my head in books again.
So here’s a foundation review for you. I’ve decided I’m going to write less, and picture more. So, picture this. A foundation that makes you absolutely flawless and in my opinion blends pretty well and is probably one of the best oil controlling foundations out there. No, it’s not over sixty dollars fortunately, it’s the Revlon ColorStay Foundation.
So, I’ve heard a lot about this baby and lots of it is negative feedback. I get things like it smells bad but honestly I only noticed the smell until a few of you told me and it smells sort of like paint. Like artsy paint which really doesn’t bother me. The only reason why I would think people would dislike this product is that they aren’t used to the coverage.
Yes, yes..it really is all of the above but boy does it cover! And it covers so well that sometimes I’m scared to use it because it might have this magical chemical in it that’s actually bad for me. I don’t know if it does but it covers too well. And it controls oil too well. Just too well, I can’t really believe it sometimes. But, believe it because it’s photo time!
It’s a screw top cover which isn’t convenient. I’d rather much prefer a pump but it’s okay, it’s not like I’m wearing the pump on my face I reckon.
The consistency is slightly thicker but one of the best ones I’ve had. I don’t like a foundation that’s too runny, I don’t trust that it will give me the coverage I need.
And yea, I do need coverage but my skin has been healing up pretty well and this stuff does’t break me out!

As you can see, super high coverage. Don’t worry, it might look a little white at the beginning but it does oxidize. Negative feedback spotlight – sometimes ppl say it turns orange but it doesn’t on me. Maybe I got some really good batch or something.
Yea, flawless much?
Even my new Canon S95 can’t pick up the cakiness.

It’s quite pricy in Australia, being a little less than $40 but if you are looking for high coverage and oil control, this makes a pretty good bet. Make sure you’re used to it or your first application will be quite a shock.
