Hey Everyone!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I’m in London! I’ve actually been in London for the past week and will be here for the rest of the month! It’s been a good year and a half since my last time here and to be honest right now, I really don’t want this holiday to end! Anyway, follow me on instagram @roseannetangrs for all my London adventures! I will probably be uploading a travel vlog soon! One thing I cannot resist is buying make-up here. I really can’t help myself and I always leave with at least something whenever I visit a Boots or Superdrug (which you would think is extremely dangerous for my wallet)! Sleek, BarryM, Rimmel and cooler Maybelline and L’Oreal products are all readily available here so here’s my haul (so far). I’m sure I will be getting more as the week goes by!

Good Monday everyone. It’s haul time! Woot woot. Today I’m going to be showing you a peek inside my latest acquisition – the Shu Uemura Eye-Conic Collection! There’s a little giveaway at the end so stay tuned! Shu Uemura came out with the eyeconic collection as a celebration of their 30th Anniversary that is inspired by color and creativity from the 1960s or the swingin’ sixties. The collection is beautiful and reminiscent of the hippie culture and colours and I can’t wait to show you what’s in here!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Probably the majority of the collection features these trio eye-shadows and cheek duos. The collection also features eye-lashes, Shu Uemura’s new Supreme matte lipstick and the gel pencil eyeliner. Shu Uemura’s International Artistic Director, Kakuyasu Uchiide, says the collection isall about graphical eyes for our 60s mood revival – high impact, with a fashion reference, retro-colours, and playing with liner to create a point at the corner,”. Here’s a look at a few of them!

Although Lancôme has always been a classic at every department store, I’ve never really tried products from them. I’ve got M.A.C, Bobbi Brown to Shu Uemura but I’ve never really touched Lancôme. I’m not sure why, so today here’s my haul of their new collection – Lancôme Show by Alber Elbaz! If you don’t know, Alber Elbaz is an Israeli Fashion Designer and is the Creative Director for the Paris fashion house, Lanvin – since 2001. Watch him here from Vogue.

He decided to collaborate with Lancôme on a limited edition make-up collection.

It’s always a good thing to hear about new products a little earlier than everyone else, especially when they haven’t hit the stores yet. So, here’s a new one for you –  the Kiehl’s Powerful Wrinkle and Pore Reducing Cream (let’s refer to it as the PWPRC)! This new cream from Kiehl’s will only be available in stores next month (in May) and is a brand new anti-ageing and wrinkle fighter cream!

wrinkles

But you’re probably thinking  - Roseanne, you’re far from getting wrinkles, you’re only 22! True but did you know that the loss of elasticity in your skin begins in our twenties? Maintaing elasticity is fundamental to preserving our supple faces – it keeps us from forming facial lines. The Kiehl’s PWPRC is unique because it uses two ingredients – Copper PCA and Calcium PCA. I mean have you ever heard of copper skincare?

hi

I think one of the challenges with starting any make-up artist career is building a kit. Not only do you need to get your shade, you need to be able to provide for everyone else’s. While you were opening your awesome Christmas presents, I was opening this. My boyfriend gave me a make-up artist’s dream – the Bobbi Brown BBU Face Palette! Best boyfriend in the world award? Pretty much.

The Bobbi Brown BBU Face palette is not available in retail stores, and is only available online. It is inspired by Bobbi’s own make-up palette that she uses when she works and features her correctors, concealers and foundation sticks. It has a great amount of shades and is perfect for a make-up artist because it is portable and provides for people with light or dark skin an anyone in between.  I’ve used her foundation sticks at school and bought one for myself at the airport (go duty free) and love it! But enough talk, let’s open this baby!

When I first came over to London, I was excited to see pretty much two brands – Barry M and SLEEK. Sleek has always been written about in blogs, talked about on YouTube and after getting a Sleek Acid palette online a year ago, I couldn’t help myself to a few Sleek products here. Plus, there was a Superdrug deal (the local health & beauty store) on all beauty items going for 3 for 2 (buy 2 get 1 free) which made these originally £7.99 palettes only about £5 each (about 10 sing dollars). How great right!!

Sleek make-up is actually the drugstore line of NARS, one of my favourite high end brands and it’s really to no surprise.  I’ve been really impressed with the quality of these products. They pride themselves in trying to cater to all skin tones and aim to be fresh, trendy and iconic in the eyes of both you and me and make-up artists. But enough talk, let’s get started!

I am so excited to share with you my make-up and fashion goodies that I’ve been “collecting” and getting here in the UK! I’m really into affordable drugstore or “high street” as they call it here brands because I know that these are the products that I can’t get anywhere else but in the UK or London!  And, with the store coming along, it also makes for a healthier wallet and a few more savings! :) That being said, the best place to go here in London is Superdrug which is a health/beauty store just like Watsons in Singapore and Priceline in Australia.

To be honest, the first time I saw Cetaphil was  when it was stacked up in my parent’s bathroom. My Dad swears by the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser which was recommended by his dermatologist  for helping cure his skin condition at the back of his neck. He has been using it every day and has seen massive improvements . Yet it wasn’t probably the first time I heard about it either. Cetaphil has long been a holygrail product that is not only effective but affordable .  I remember way back  when the first time I used it and I fell in love with it’s non-soap formula. Like an old flame,  I’ve fallen in love again so when Cetaphil contacted me to be their Cetaphil Facebook Expert Tips Ambassador, I couldn’t be happier.

Fancl to me has always been one of those brands I’ve wanted to try  for so long, but never got around to doing it. From the super bright store lights, to the beautiful sales assistants dressed to the T, I’ve always been curious at what they had to offer. I mean c’mon, Japanese beauty products belong to a whole new world and I happen to be a fan of the whole thing. Not only do they offer skincare, they also offer supplements to just about any womanly ailment out there, whether it’s fiber  to slimming to hormones for skin clarity. I find that pretty cool.

Switzerland is probably known for chocolate, a stack of beautiful mountains and of course natural solutions for skincare. Ujene Skincare is an international icon from Switzerland made with only the finest and purest Swiss ingredients  so when they contacted me, I couldn’t resist checking them out. In fact, so much detail goes into this skincare line that every ingredient can be traced back to its source and origin!

The Puriste Collagen Collection aims to do three things – plumps, firms and lifts instantly. The main ingredient in all of these babies is something called OVILUXE. It is a top grade stuff that is natural, bio compatible, cell adhesive and 99% purity triple helix collagen. With OVILUXE, your skin becomes a moisture-magnet , plumping up with vital moisture within your skin. It is also free from parabens, formaldhydes, PEG’s, mineral oils, paraffins, essential oils and synthetic fragrances and dyes amongst others. So if you have sensitive skin, this is probably a holy grail product for you! Here’s a showcase of the collection and my first impressions!

I bet only a handful of us would go out wearing neon eye-shadow colors to go shopping. I raise my hand. Maybe it’s the fact that we think we look better in just neutrals but I think it’s probably more-so of what people would think of us. Illamasqua’s Human Fundamentalism collection beckons you to become “who you are and not who you’re told to be”. The collection’s bold and bright colors of commonly unworn shades urges you to turn heads by expressing who you really are. Albeit this blog post is ridiculously long overdue. I was back in Melbourne when this baby was sent to my Singapore address. I thought it was only necessary to blog about this anyway, I mean look at this kit!

I’m down to my final week in Australia and although most of my make-up is packed up and bubble-wrapped and I probably swore to myself not to buy anymore, I came across these two babies and I couldn’t resist. But trust me, I do have a decent explanation for purchasing and that is well, I’ve never tried anything like them before and they are both spankin’ new products . Plus, I’m leaving so I should be putting my paws on everything I can’t get back in Singapore! Here’s a little haul of the Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Make-Up foundation and the Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam! I am throughly excited to review both but here are my first impressions of each of them if you’re already on the edge of your seats.

To be honest, I never really wore lipstick until I went to uni. To me lipsticks were such a hassle. I couldn’t eat without eating some and they faded far too much. But little did I realize that it wasn’t particularly lipsticks as make-up items I didn’t like, it was just that I was wearing the wrong one. I continued my lipstick journey with M.A.C, Chanel, YSL, and drugstore brands like Revlon and Maybelline only to find that I might have a slight addiction to them. They make a massive difference to any look, it’s the final polish. Even to that, I haven’t tried a Bobbi Brown lipstick before either. Silly, I know.

Last month’s Vanity Trove was February –  the month of love, pampering, sweet hearts and flowers. I can’t believe it’s already the second month of 2012, time flies super fast, like super bass. Speaking of super bass, VanityTrove has just sent out their February VanityTrove and as VanityTrove ambassador, I’m here to give you a peak into what’s inside this month’s sweet trove! You’ll be surprised to find that there’s a little bit of Nicki Minaj in it this month! So let’s get started and open this baby up!

First of all, this month’s trove smells absolutely heavenly. The potpourri wafting in the air when you first open the box smells like that old perfume you rediscovered in your mom’s closet and wonder why she never wears it. Its a great start to the surprise!

There’s just something about being 21 that makes you feel young, wild, and so free. They say being 21 is like finally wearing that dress you’ve always wanted to fit in or sky diving without your parents knowing. Nonetheless, it’s your prime time. Forever 21 has always been one of those stores I almost never come out empty handed and when I feel like shopping, I’ll shop. When I don’t, I won’t even if you forced me too. Just like you eat when you’re hungry, I’ll only shop when I feel like it. And well, this time, I felt it. The occasion? It’ll be my last semester of uni so I needed a few new outfits. Plus, they were having a sale so I thought, why not?

My friends say that halving an avocado and scooping it with a silver spoon into thy mouth is one of the best feelings for them in the world. It’s in our sandwiches, even in our sushi, and now it’s being bottled by Crabtree & Evelyn. But honestly,  it’s no surprise. Avocados happen to be one of the most nutrient rich foods in the world – packed with caretonoids (the stuff that helps your eyes) and rich in omega three fatty acids that not only make you smarter but can also make your skin glow with natural and healing properties. I say the perfect solution to brains and beauty? Just maybe.

Valentine’s Day is coming! That day comes with either two daily agendas. Number one, prancing around with your dream date or boyfriend of however long, or number two, moping around with a bowl of popcorn and the latest chic flick on TV. But, what if we eradicated that stereotype and regardless of date or no date, valentine or no valentine, we had a ball looking good anyway. I say hats off to that idea. And if there’s any expert in looking hot for this special day, Dress Sense at Raffles City is pretty much the place to be.

Dress Sense invited me to their store to pick out a few Valentines Day outfits and to have fun trying out their dresses and accessories. I thought this would be a fun way to give you some inspiration just in time for your hot date and who doesn’t love feeling like Barbie once in a while. Plus, their whole concept is amazing.

I have some exciting news to announce! I’m ambassador! No, not ambassador of Singapore, silly (I wish).  This post marks my first online ambassadorship with VanityTrove.com! I’m so excited. As their ambassador, I will be responsible for unveiling each month’s trove to you here on roseannetangrs.com. Plus, I’ll be holding random giveaways every now and then and I invite you in advance to attend all of them.

If you haven’t read my previous post on VanityTrove, VanityTrove hand-picks a set of themed beauty products and delivers them to your doorstep every month. It’s a fantastic concept and I totally love the picks that VanityTrove gives out including high end brands like Lancome to Clinique and niche brands like Yadah. It’s absolutely perfect for people looking to try new products every month or to expand your beauty knowledge about what’s swimming out there. And, hey who doesn’t like surprises delivered to your doorstep, either that or you, my friend, have a crush on the mailman. I wouldn’t blame ya. So let’s see what’s in January’s Trove shall we?

Don’t you hate it when you just want to try a product but you don’t want to spend a hundred bucks buying the full-size? Story of my life. Don’t you wish you could just get a sample of the product? Well, thankfully, there are now websites like VanityTrove that send you a series of samples every month to try to your pleasure. It allows you to try a range of products without dishing out the extra pennies so when they contacted me, I was happy to help them out to tell you more about this beautiful box of surprises.

VanityTrove boasts a great concept. Once you choose from a monthly or yearly subscription, Vanity Trove will hand deliver you a series of samples in a themed box. Whether it’s December and the holiday season or February and Valentines Day, you’ll never know what they’ll send you next. These samples may be from yet to be discovered brands or timeless and cult classics! Nevertheless, they will send you 4-5 hand picked and deluxe sample size beauty products. You can also send these boxes as gifts to friends and family. They were nice enough to send me their December box so let’s open it up shall we?

I’m finally back in Singapore. I have no make-up on currently, I’m sitting out on the porch in tropical weather drinking an orangina and I’m pretty content. Nothing like a haul to celebrate. Sometimes I tell myself that I won’t be going shopping during exams because I need to stay home and study. For some reason, that never sticks. I always find myself scrambling to the store when I get nervous or a little stressed out and I find that a few items bought can be one of the best stress relievers out there. Here’s my little exam stress haul – a few drugstore foundations, a favorite from Lush and of course a little bit from Sportsgirl.

Exams are just around the corner and not only is it time to bring out the tim tams from the kitchen closet, highlighters and different colored pens out, but it’s also time to take special care of your skin. The minimal amount of sleep, the less than honorable diet of comfort food and the stress can make zits pop up faster than you can eliminate them. I always make sure I have face masks ready to brighten up the skin so I can fake a few hours of sleep when I’m out and about.

A few weeks ago, I did a giveaway on my facebook page about one of my all time favorite masks – the Leader’s Clinic Clinie I.P.L Whitelux Masks. A few days later, Cossy.com.sg asked if I would like to try out the Leaders Clinic Insolution Masks. Impressed by the Clinie line, I was more than happy to try out what they had to offer. Sometimes we should revel in the beauty of the night. It’s dark, mysterious and has a certain calm about it that leaves us thinking to say the least. One cosmetic line that revels in the mysteries of the dark is the brand Illamasqua, a well-known UK based beauty known for it’s theatrical and bold colors and products. I have always wanted to try something from them, having just entered Melbourne in Myer stores recently, but never got around to it until a few weeks ago when they contacted me from London to see if I’d like to join their list of bloggers. Hey Everyone,

Thought I might just do a quick haul post in picture roll form! A few weeks back, Chadstone (a really big shopping mall here) had VIP night where all stores in the mall were about 15-20% off. Done with assignments, my friend and I made a quick trip there to see what deals we could bring home. Here’s what I brought home!

1. Sportsgirl Sweaters

I absolutely love knit sweaters, especially in winter and the awesome thing is during fall and spring, you can slip them on and not wear a coat and they look so soft and casual. Luckily that night, Sportsgirl had an additional 50% off all their sale items so I got two in pink and blue. The blue is more of a crop top and the pink is a full on knit. Both are made with delicate yarn so you have to be careful while washing. With leggings, they make really nice casual outfits.

Hey Everyone,

Honestly, I’ve been on a hiatus, a willing makeup ban, for the past few months. I never really understood my hiatus and I blamed it on the fact that I already had enough makeup which isn’t a familiar excuse to be made by a beauty blogger. However, when the blow of assignments hit, I found myself more ways than one finding myself at Priceline time and again. I think buying makeup is ultimately thereapeautic so my wallet can’t thank me when I’m stressed out.

Priceline is basically the Australian drugstore. Think of a hub of drugstore makeup – you have Maybelline, Almay, Covergirl, Loreal, Revlon, Rimmel, Max Factor, Sally Hansen, Prestige, and aussie brands like Face of Australia and Australis. Feuled by my hectic uni schedule, I gave myself a reason to buy makeup based on the fact that I’ve lived in Australia for the past two years but I haven’t yet tried any Face of Australia or Australis products. I know, shame on me. So here we go, the fruits of the haul, and I have a few more up my sleeve in the coming weeks. Enjoy!

Today, I’ll be talking about butter. Not really the kind you slathered on your pancakes this morning but rather the ones that The Body Shop makes which happen to be one of their signature products.

The Body Shop Body Butters have been around for ages, and scented with scrummy fruits like my personal favourites including Pink Grapefruit, Passionfruit and Papaya. I love those smells! Acting as an all over body moisturiser, these creamy products provide softening and moisturising benefits to the skin. When I came to The Body Shop office in Singapore to collect the prizes for the upcoming contest (I know, awesomeness!), the lovely Fiona dropped some magic into my bag. What’s the magic? Body Butter Duos. In fact, the Body Shop has recently upgraded these Body Butters and have stocked their shelves with new Body Butter duos! I’ve had a horrible urge to shop lately and not the kind of shopping that can be quelled by a credit card or a web browser either, the kind that calls for paper bags and more than a bit of immediate satisfaction. So today was shopping day and knowing me, I was prepared to walk away from this day empty handed as I often do but as I dug through my bag, I came across a 10% LUSH voucher. Recently turned LUSH addict, I merrily walked to the store knowing that this was my chance to satisfy a much abandoned urge.

I tried mostly all the products I got from LUSH (not very many) tonight. Yes, I did wash my hair with beer, slathered seaweed all over my face and then painted it over with a face mask that made me look more Smurf than human being. You gotta love LUSH right? Thus, I’ll give a few of my own first impressions of the slightly unconventional bath products I’ve added to my collection today. Plus, I have a little surprise from KIT and at the end of this post, I’ll quell your jealous smirks and tell you all about roseannebeauty mail order as well!

I dismissed the chance of winning anything since I don’t normally do and enjoyed the experience.

So, when I picked up my phone that morning at the office, I was totally caught off-guard. I had won $1000 worth of M.A.C. After five minutes trying to register just how much $1000 worth of M.A.C was like, I quickly tweeted and facebooked my gittery feelings away.

Like many of you, The Body Shop and I go way back. I grew up in an American International school and The Body Shop’s strawberry lip balm was a fad item amongst my 12 year old peers. At that time, it was the in-thing, along with the addidas superstar shoes with the three stripes and acting like a ditz. Now, the brow and liner kit has been one of my favourite products and I happen to love the scents especially Passion fruit, Grapefruit and Mango of their well-know body butters. Bobbi Brown has always been to me one of those brands that I wish I could have everything from, but I know that it’ll be a heartache to fork out for. It makes you want to dilly dally around the counter, say “its okay, just looking” to the sales assistant, and one day put that product into your list of makeup products that you want but will never get. The neutral colour palette that Bobbi Brown provides is stylish, natural, and beautiful but the prices on the shelf aren’t at all flattering. Most products are in the high forties and above that can set you back quite a bit in the numero department of your bank account. However, it’s a brand that speaks. It’s a brand that inspires women to be not only pretty, but powerful.

Hey Everyone,

*Shopbop.com did not contact me for the following review, it’s not sponsored, totally my discovery and opinions about it.

The current state of my favourite shoes could be equivalent to searching google images for “old, yucky, tearing flats,” and I’m sorry to bombard you with this image of them to prove a point. I didn’t even bother to mark them because I figured no one would actually take this awful image:

* I deleted the image because i was sick of seeing it on my blog everyday ahah. :D Just take it that it was pretty gross haha

They’re a pair of ECCO’s, been around for about a year and it’s getting to it’s end life. It’s soles don’t want to stick to it’s worn leather body and my mom has started to make faces at them. I figured it’s time for a change. I’m still wearing them though! Until they really die out, but I think getting a new pair is quite a necessity before they do eventually collapse.

I’m sure you’ve all heard the word “BB Cream” floating around, but in a sea of foundations, compacts and high end powders, we lose sight of what this ‘miracle’ asian sensation really is. No, it’s not a bird, toy or a plane, it’s just healthy makeup. I see BB creams everywhere,  yet I have no incentive to try it out myself so I was happy to meet up with Lorraine, brand manager of the StarAsiaGroup which distributes a very special BB brand, Skin79, at The Marmalade Pantry last Monday.

So What are BB Creams?

A BB cream is makeup designed to be good to your skin. In the most idiot-proof way, Lorraine explained that it originated from a group of German dermatologists who wanted to provide makeup for their patients after treatments with downtime, without harmful chemicals or impurities. It was basically a therapeutic moisturiser that provided lighter coverage and healing benefits. This is why it is often associated with the word “Blemish Balm” because it heals blemishes and its more a balm with coverage than a foundation. It’s much like a tinted moisturiser, amp up the coverage a bit but boost its skincare properties to the extreme. Its glowy, radiant makeup thats healthy. Sounds good to me!

Leaders Clinic Clinie is a very popular skincare company in Korea, formed by a group of well-known Korean dermatologists who created their own mark in the skincare company scene. In fact, they’re so popular that they average about 500,000 masks sold monthly and are undoubtedly the hottest clinical brand in Korea. Not only Korea either – it’s loved in Japan, China and Hong Kong and I managed to snap a picture yesterday when I was in Hong Kong at Mannings (Guardian):

I met up with Elizabeth Wan, part of the marketing team at Elizabeth Arden for lunch at the Blue Mist Cafe and was able to get a glimpse of the upcoming promotions at the office, which was beautiful by the way.

She’s trying to take out the lip protectant, next to her is one of the new fragrances coming out and the red door lipstick next to the box. I have to say that the lipstick is probably one of the most interesting limited edition items. It’s a beautiful sparkly hollywood red lipstick only going for $19.90 each, but apparently its sold out currently as the promotions started yesterday!

Hello!

I’m home, I nearly forgot how good the food is here. Roti Prata, Nasi Lemak, my mom’s cooking, onnomnom beats by far the sandwiches, hot chocolate and..more sandwiches that I had during Uni. It’s good to be back, but with any flight (which I got to ride for the first time the A380, awesome!) comes Duty Free Shopping!

Earlier in Melbourne there was a sale at the Duty Free store in the city with everything being 30% off, I just had to get my hands on some YSL that I’ve been stalking on Sophia’s blog (www.retailtherapy.onsugar.com). I had to try a Rouge Volupte, and I threw in a brow pencil since each cost me about $25 AUD only with the Duty Free and the sale going on. Btw, the sale is no longer…on. Here’s that webcam twitter pic that I posted, but I never got to blog about it, so here we go.

Hello!

I’m officially in exam season, that means me hidden in libraries with my nose in books, lectures, past exams and my mouth covered in chocolate. There are now officially 185 of you on this, and I feel that I have abandoned 185 of you but my excuse? Well, school. But also that it’s just easier for me to talk on a camera, edit it and upload it :) For me writing takes a bit of time if I really do want to make some sort of meek statement.

Here is my review first on Erno Laszlo, I put a lot of effort in the review including me at 7 am in the morning with my pjs on demonstrating for you the skincare, so if the fact that it is about Erno Laszlo doesn’t entice you, I hope the latter will.

Hello!

Today I got UGGs. You’re either 1.) Horribly disgusted, 2.) Interested because they’re cute or 3.) Happy for me cuz I’M HAPPY baybay!

Story? My mom bought me River Island Heeled boots for this semester and although pricy, I can’t wear them. I hate heels actually, they hurt, hurt hurt. I then went to SEED and got some suede leather boots but they hurt, so injured Roseanne rang up her Dad to see if she could get sheepskin ones and with a bit of hesitation when I mentioned the price, he replied with the usual “ok, if they’re going to last long, go ahead”. So here I am with a haul.

Hello Everyone,

I know, I know, I have been absent for far too long. But before you whip out the ruler, I have been concentrating on school, uni, commerce, and subjects. You know the boring stuff of my life (sort of). So it’s justified! I have just gotten fast internet, changed my provider and I don’t particularly feel like doing work right now because I am in a celebratory mood. Yes, faster internet makes my upload time dwindle from 11 hours to 1 hour. What’s not to love?

If you’ve been following my twitter (which you should at: www.twitter.com/roseannetangrs), you’d know that I’m currently using the Erno Laszlo products that were sent to me a few weeks ago but I never put up the haul video because I wanted to wait for my faster internet.

Hey Everyone,

You might have already seen this post because I did a video about it a few days ago(?) BUT this time it’s cooler because not only is it really early in the morning and I’m more prone to typing nonsense (just kidding) I have tried some of the Smashbox products already but of course haven’t wanted to touch the AIW yet.

Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland Palette

Yes, you’re already probably fed up with seeing this palette posted up on everyone’s onsugar blog but I have to say that it seriously just grabbed my macbook off my favourite thing throne and threw it on the floor. (ok well not throw, more like place down lightly..on a pillow…to the side a bit..ok..can :S). TO ALL the people who offered to help me get it in Singapore to send to Australia, THANK YOU SO MUCH. I finally settled with the no shipping option with my good friend Tammy already studying fashion design at RMIT in Melbourne so she could bring it over for me! Thanks Tammay.

Hey Everyone,

I hate it when youtube stills turn out like that :P

Anyway..So one of the posts on SG_Beauty really caught my eye last week, well mostly because it had NARS blushes, so I took the two :) I did a meet and greet with the lovely Clare who happened to be a subscriber and collected the following:

1. OPI Nail polishes in (From L to R): Glove you so much, Lincoln Park At Midnight, Meet and Jingle

I absolutely love the formulas of OPI Nailpolishes – they give the right coverage with only a sweep of color and I love the packaging – professional, classy and beautiful. SO of course when I saw these babies, especially the shades of red, i just had to get my hands on them. Glove you so much is a dark garnet with blackberry hues, I decided that it should be my nail color of the week:

This product is totally worth it, I use it everyday and wouldn’t go ANYWHERE without it. and of course my retractable brush. It was $36.00 and I can totally see myelf repeatedly buying it until god knows when. :)

Well I’ll be making my August Faves soon but here are some things I picked up in the last week or so:

1. MAC Blacktrack Fluidline – $32

tried it at my friends place and thought I had to get it because my maybelline doesn’t last long at all but this is amazing! It was time for an upgrade and I do use this stuff everyday.

Hey Everyone,

So after classes I decided to hurry and buy the things I’ve always wanted because I had so much work to do and probably would be thinking about them and not concentrating on work. Plus, life is short and I think make up for me is a prime investment because high quality make up products always produce more than decent returns (granted it doesn’t break you out).

After my finance class, I readily hopped on a tram to MAC to get my MAC 109. For some reason, now, I always want to get out of MAC as fast as possible, I think I’ve been traumatised by MAC SAs in Singapore, but the people in Australia are really nice.

hello!

I just got back from an overload of thai express and I don’t feel so good. I’m not good with spicy food AT ALL eventhough my family enjoys it very much. Stomachache – poeey.

Anyways after lunch, I took the mrt to Ang Mo Kio hub again haha to meet my sister and my mom before we went out to dinner with the family and while they were looking at taka jewelrey..something I have no interest in whatsoever, i took a look at body shop, especially the tea tree oil section. A few years back, I did try the tea tree oil foaming cleanser because it was on sale and I always thought that body shop products were a bit pricy so I didn’t repurchase it, but I would if I could. That stuff was amazing. Nonetheless, I was greeted with a this time friendly sales assistant who gave me the down low on all the other tea tree products, all above what I wanted to pay for a single item. Then my eyes drew towards a face exfoliating brush pictured below and because it was $6.90 I thought hey, it might accompany my oxy wash nicely so I brought it to the counter.

Hello :)

So you’ve probably had days when you wake up in the morning and the first thing that pops into your head is some good ole retail therapy (Hi retail_therapy haha). Trying to ignore the urge, you eat your breakfast, perhaps jump on the youtube bandwagon for a bit or watch tv, but in the back of your head you’re thinking of reasons why you need to go on some sort of shopping spree. And today was just one of those days. What was my reason? Probably that I’m leaving and that I need to make some movement in my bank account, mostly that I’m actually going to miss my parents and my sis and my bro no matter how many times they’ve made me annoyed and angry about the things that i’m not allowed to do.

Hello!

This was filmed yesterday and I just want to thank Debbie for including so many free samples in addition to the samples I bought:

Here they are (I transferred some of them to my own jar and re-labled them so they match the rest of my samples in my kit) hehe:

Well, winged butter and fawn was included but I thought that those really didnt match me so what I did was mix them two together, added a bit of sunkissed fair for a more pink/peach undertones and added very little of everyday bronzer to darken the mix just small bit and I made a buttered tan clone so thats why I labeled it as so.

I’ve only tried one of the blushes being apple and I found it more pigmented and not really matchng to my skintone as I thought it would. It reminds me of a ragdoll blush and its really hard to match that to my skin tone. BUT to avoid redoing my make up, I buffed it out and went over the blush spot with some foundation to lighten it. It turned out alright :)
