Hey Everyone!

If you haven’t already known, Bath and Body Works is in Singapore! This is so exciting for me because I’ve been familiar with the brand ever since I was a teen back in Middle School. It used to be precious back then because the only way to get it is if you were in the states for summer. Everyone would have either a warm vanilla sugar body spray or a sweet pea one hidden in their lockers for after P.E. Back then, I remember telling my Dad to get the body spray for me (partly because I wanted to be like everyone else) and he got the one in cucumber melon which I think is now a discontinued —–> Read More

I hope you’re having a great weekend! With the new year, I think now is a great time to spring clean our makeup collection. This keeps our expired make-up in the bin and totally room ready for whatever is on our make-up wishlist! Besides getting our bins ready here are a few of my tips to keeping your collections tidy.

1. Sort out your make-up

When it’s time to take my collection for a little clean through, I begin sorting my make-up. I have one pile for blushes, foundations, lipsticks etc and the last pile will be for make-up I can’t use anymore. It’s sort of like when —–> Read More

You totally need to watch the video and I seriously can’t agree enough. I’ve never really talked about my weight and to be honest, I’ve never been the skinny girl or the girl with perfect legs and arms. I’m kind of the odd one out especially here in Singapore where I feel most of the population is stunningly skinny and the newspapers are full of London Weight Management ads and slimming centres. I’ve tried this diet, that exercise but for some reason I just end up figuring myself out and asking what in the world am I trying to do. I can’t count the number of times where —–> Read More

Shopping online for make-up can be a lot easier than you think and there are actually many online stores that sell make-up and beauty products with international shipping. I used to shop online for make-up tons when I was in Uni – it was the perfect way to de-stress and the cheaper prices online compared to counter prices didn’t help either. I think that  when it comes shopping for make-up online, you don’t have to worry about whether it ‘fits’ – the main concern is whether the product is ship-able (perfumes and some liquids like nail polishes are sometimes not allowed to be shipped internationally by the seller) AND even if the —–> Read More

It’s that time of the month again! Time to touch up my roots and give my hair a new revamp of color. I simply loved my experience at Organic Hair Professional so I decided to give them another visit to see how well their organic hair dyes perform. I mean, I’ve never tried an organic hair dye before, much less knew they actually existed. Smelling strong chemical laden hair dyes have always been the norm so I was really excited for this visit! By the way, I also just wanted to share with you how I book my appointments – it’s through this nifty website called Tab a Salon at!

Today I thought I’d share some of that fun stuff in my events round-up. If you aren’t familiar, I do attend events quite often to see what’s new and trendy! With the holidays around the corner, you’re probably wondering what to get for your best friend or sister. Here’s a great guide to just that! The first event was with LUSH cosmetics. LUSH has been here in Singapore for not more than a few years and is a popular fun and natural soap and body care haven.

As you know, I’m a huge LUSH fan. I remember in college when I would go to LUSH at least once a week in Melbourne and always walk out with a new soap or face mask. I just —–> Read More

When I first learned how to curl my lashes, it was a disaster! The metal felt too cold and it left me wondering why would any girl do this to themselves! Fast forward to now and I really can’t live without an eye-lash curler and curling my lashes before my mascara is always a must. I don’t have lashes that curl themselves and look naturally voluminous. They’re what I call “horse lashes” – they stick out straight over my eye – just like a I know it sounds pretty crude to compare myself to a horse..but hey it’s true. Thankfully though I’ve found out a way to curl lashes better than just —–> Read More

Here’s a litte mid week inspiration – Pinterest Hair Tutorials. They often look like a series of step by step pictures, modelled by beautiful girls that look like they came outta your favourite magazine and they make a pretty cool time waster (or not). Here’s my top ten favourites that will make you wonder “oh that’s how they do it.”

Everyone does monthly favourites, weekly favourites, but how about the stuff that you keep on going back to time and time again? These are my favourite products that I can’t live without. I haven’t been able to find good substitutes in Singapore for them and I feel like they’re the best products I don’t mind going to the store again and again for them! Let’s start shall we?

I get a lot of questions asking what should I get – natural or synthetic hair make-up brushes and the answer is, both. That’s because natural and synthetic hair is useful for different functions when it comes to applying make-up and both are essential to either your personal or professional make-up kit. Here’s the low down on both and what they’re great for.

1. Synthetic Hair Makeup Brushes

What is it? The bristles of the make-up brush is composed of hair that is synthetic and man-made. Often the hairs have a more smooth/slightly plastic feel to them. They are dyed —–> Read More

We’ve all heard about the benefits of essential oils but usually our knowledge extends to what we can add to our lamp burner on a sunday night. Little do we know that there’s actually a difference between medicinal grade therapeutic oils and aromatherapy oils. Medicinal grade therapeutic oils like Absolute Essential go through an extensive and meticulous process so that it has medicinal uses and benefits. Aromatherapy oils (the stuff you put in your burner) usually does not go through this level of extraction and use cheaper, less integral ingredients that don’t really work.

Here’s three products that you can use for multiple uses and are ever so handy on the go, travelling or if you’re just plain lazy. Tsk Tsk. Jokes.

Honestly, I had no idea what to expect. I was requested by some lovely viewers to do this tag video. Basically, you’re supposed to put on you make-up without glancing even once at the mirror. Although it seemed like an almost impossible feat, I decided to go ahead and do it anyway! By the way, excuse my lazy dress sense today. It’s Saturday and I just wanted to chill and make a video and it was cold. Hehe.

I’m probably looking at around a hundred buckaroos since I’m open to using a mix of drugstore and department store makeup. I’m horrible with my money. Matching undertones, textures and complexions ought to be one of the most important things you need to know. If you want to match your skintone successfully or get the right shade of lipstick, you’ll have to be able to match your undertone, to avoid looking like a cakey mess, you’ll have to match textures and to keep yourself from piling up the make-up, you’ll have to match complexions. But if all this sounds pretty foreign to you, then fear not, this will sure to have you looking flawless and gorgeous in no time.

I’m always on the hunt for a great hot pink, and it’s the one color I always ask for when I’m getting my nails done at the salon. It’s pretty much an expression of me.

Hey Everyone,

Here’s a question that I get often and something that I remember being confused with back when I first started getting into BB Creams and that is this:
What is the Difference between a BB Cream and a Foundation?
Simple. There are many differences. A BB cream can be used as a make-up base or a very sheer foundation at best. It’s major selling point is that it is a make-up and skincare product, so it tends to have more skincare benefits than a liquid foundation does. It also provides less coverage.

Therefore, a bb cream and foundation differs most in these areas:

1. Coverage – BB creams provide less coverage than can a —–> Read More

Let’s face it. We weren’t all blessed with the inherent ability to Photoshop. I know I wasn’t. I’ve used it once or twice for class, was a bit familiar with the layers, but in totality and in all honestly, I’m Photoshop hopeless. There are just too many buttons to press and I end up chasing my tail anyway. But, as a beauty blogger, it’s almost a necessity to make a few graphics introducing contests, events or giveaways or as banners or blog stickers. First off, it’s not as glamorous as most people think it is. They have this perception that beauty bloggers are vainpots with makeup stashes as tall as Mt. Everest.
