At the moment, I’m slowly expanding my Dior makeup collection and to be honest, I am really starting to fall in love. It’s probably the chic packaging and amazing line of products that they offer and I never really dived in until now. Today I’ll be talking about their newest release- the Dior Transat Summer 2014 makeup collection. When I see the Dior Transat in its entirety – the first thing that comes to mind is nautical. They’re really playing around with the ideas of a luxury ocean liner with sailor elements and also natural or neutral colors. Let’s take a look at what I got!
The first is this Dior 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in 344 Atlantique (SGD$102). It is a gorgeous blue smokey eye or day time eye palette and the amazing rope braid embossing in the middle is absolutely gorgeous. Swatch wise they come off quite pigmented and thankfully the matte shades aren’t chalky at all. The palette also comes with two applicators. You can apply the light sky blue all over the lid, add a bit of the middle blue to your outer corner and the dark blue in your outer V. Then add the matte brown with a fluffy blending brush to tie and unify the entire look together. The Transat Collection also has another 5 Couleurs palette that is mainly neutral in Sundeck with orange tones.
Secondly, I got my first DiorAddict Lipstick in 655 Mayday (SGD$46)! It’s a beautiful velvet matte that is very smooth and pigmented. I can’t wait to sport this to my next gathering or event.
It goes very well with the entire nautical theme. Other lipsticks from this collection include Sunlight (a frost nude), Windrose (primrose pink) and Cruise (a bright orange).
Last of all, the collection includes the Dior Manicure Transat Nail Polish (SGD$45). I have the one in Sailor which is such a gorgeous blue! It’s probably my favourite deep blue in the whole collection. Dior nail polishes are so easy to apply with an expanded soft brush (very much like the Lancome Vernis) and they are so shiny and bright when applied.
Glossy right? Other nail polishes in this collection include 210 Yacht which is a nude and 750 Captain which is an amazing bright and classic red.
Overall, this collection is for sure worth checking out. It is absolutely stunning. Other main stars from the collection features their Dior Nude Tan Transat Edition (golden champagne highlight) and the Dior Nude Shimmer Powders in Rose Diamond and Amber Diamond.
