Good Monday everyone. It’s haul time! Woot woot. Today I’m going to be showing you a peek inside my latest acquisition – the Shu Uemura Eye-Conic Collection! There’s a little giveaway at the end so stay tuned! Shu Uemura came out with the eyeconic collection as a celebration of their 30th Anniversary that is inspired by color and creativity from the 1960s or the swingin’ sixties. The collection is beautiful and reminiscent of the hippie culture and colours and I can’t wait to show you what’s in here!
Probably the majority of the collection features these trio eye-shadows and cheek duos. The collection also features eye-lashes, Shu Uemura’s new Supreme matte lipstick and the gel pencil eyeliner. Shu Uemura’s International Artistic Director, Kakuyasu Uchiide, says the collection is “all about graphical eyes for our 60s mood revival – high impact, with a fashion reference, retro-colours, and playing with liner to create a point at the corner,”. Here’s a look at a few of them!
The Yellow Eye Trio features a very glittery beige cream, chocolate brown and yellow. It kind of reminds me of a banana! They all really come with the notion that Shu Uemura make-up is all about no restrictions and new rules. After all, they are the creators of mod make-up! I also have the Blue Eye Trio featuring a sky blue, green and pastel shimmery blue and also the Orange Eye Trio featuring a shimmery nude cream, orange and pastel pink. The range also comes with cheek duos, so I have the pink one. Yay a Shu blush. I have hearts in my eyes. They are beautifully pigmented and most of the collection consists of shimmery colours. This is one swatch of the colour without primer.
Most of these colors come in a re-fill without the standard Shu Uemura case. That’s why, part of the collection is this beautiful limited edition Eyeconic Collection Quad that takes care of the shadows very well. It is adorned with a colourful geometric purple, pink and white pattern and happens to be very customisable I mean look at this.
Cool beans, right? Of course Shu Uemura is synonymous with cray cray and cool eyelashes. These are so pretty. They are demi lashes as they are only half and make your eyes pretty and flirty. Plus they come with mono stone diamonte on the ends of the lashes in the Eye-conic collection theme colors – green and orange. They are my first pair of Shu Uemura Lashes!
