Hey Everyone!
Today I want to share with you a daily beauty item. It may not be the latest collection from M.A.C or something new and insane that a lady from Japan just invented. Instead, I’m going to share with you one of my staple beauty products and one that I have soft skin to thank for – the Himalaya Herbals Skin Nourishing Cream. I keep this on my bedside table and use it before I sleep and when I wake up in the morning and today, I thought I might do a review on it for you. I also have a giveaway at the end of this post so stay tuned!
The Himalayas Herbal Skin Nourishing Cream is an all over skin cream that is great all over the body, especially dry areas like our knees and elbows. It also happens to be all natural and is made via a herbal cocktail that includes 100% herbal actives of the cream’s two main ingredients -Winter Cherry and Aloe Vera! Winter Cherry is a stimulant that is anti-sceptic and anti-inflammatory and it also acts as an antioxidant for skin problems. Aloe Vera is a widely known natural skincare ingredient and is know for its moisturising properties and its ability to prevent water loss! There are two sizes of the cream available – the larger 150ml that is available for $12.90 and the more compact and travel friendly 50ml at only $5.30 at any Watsons, Guardian, Unity, Giant, Mustafa and the Himalayas Herbal counter at Harbourfront Centre!
It is also great for all skin types and the cream is a luxurious feeling formula that is suprisingly light and non-greasy. It is able to penetrate deep into your skin to restore moisture and make your skin super soft. It really has improved the softness of my skin. But enough talk, let’s open it up and put it on!
I love the smell of this cream! There’s just something very comforting about it It’s not medicinal but more soft and floral. Even my mum loves it!
Let’s put it on! I usually have this on my bedside table. I make sure that I use it when I wake up in the morning to hydrate my skin after a night in air conditioning that can easily dry it out! The cream is not heavy but feels light and cooling yet it really helps to diffuse and soften.
As you can see, my skin looks instantly smoother after applying the cream.
Spreading it and blending it into the skin is a breeze as well. It absorbs so well into the skin and the only trace it leaves is a softness.
Look how hydrated my skin looks. I did a test and used it on one arm and left the other without the cream and my arm with the cream really did feel softer throughout the day!
There are a lot of uses for the cream for every situation and thankfully, I also have the travel sized because I use it has a hand cream too and pack it in my bag. I have also been using it to moisturise my face in the morning as a primer before my makeup and I have discovered that my makeup goes on a lot easier and blends better because the surface is smoother.
My cuticles get dry easily so I always use the cream to hydrate them on the go! Sometimes I’m caught using it in the car when Jacob is driving. Ok, sometimes I’m also really bored and yes I do find putting on this cream and making my hands soft really fun too! :p
Jacob actually steals some of it too when we are out and I decide to use it. We are at the Peranakan Museum for Valentines Day here!
At the end of a long day when I’m all tucked into bed, I reach for the cream again. I make sure I apply it on my arms and legs and then I’m all ready for bed!
Hope you liked this review! Overall, it’s a great daily beauty product staple that I use. It’s super multi purpose and is really easily absorbed into the skin. I love it because it makes my skin really soft and hydrated :)
