Favourite High-End Nail Polish: Lancome Vernis in Love Nail Polish Review + Swatches

Hey Everyone,

1

When we think nail polish, sure we think first the major brands of polish like O.P.I, Essie and China Glaze. It’s not uncommon to forget that some of our favourite make-up brands make pretty good nail polishes too. I am in love with the Lancome Vernis in Love nail polishes and for good reason. If it’s splurge day and you want to pamper those nails, then these are something that you should definitely check out.

These nail polishes have an amazing formula that make me kind of wish I didn’t spend 35 dollars every week on my nails. They claim to have a fade resistant gloss, have mistake free application, intense color and a long lasting formula. Guess what, for once, I have to say that all the above are true! For one, the brush is a pro-wide brush if that’s what they call it – which means it spreads out to cover the entire nail. The brush hairs aren’t made of some cheap material either, they look very soft and luxurious with no stray hairs.

It is so easy to apply too and is the right texture and consistency so you get perfect nails every single time. The color is of course very intense and look, that’s just one coat. I applied it quite sheer as well but you can quickly add a bit more paint and you’re good to go. I love the color and they have what I call “true to bottle” color. It just basically means that you get what the bottle says you’re gonna get. That can be rare in the nail polish world sometimes.

So yeah, just wanted to share with you a favourite nail polish I guess. I also really like OPI nail polishes because they never fail but it’s good to try something different sometimes. I’m not a huge fan of Essie or China Glaze though because their formulas are not consistent and the color payoff can be quite poor sometimes! Here are some swatches of my Lancome Vernis in Love Nail Polish collection :D Aquamarine is my favourite. I love it so much and it reminds me of a holiday at the beach.

Then there’s Chocolat Mordore. Seriously, if you want to turn your fingers into chocolate drops, it really can be easily done. Just don’t get too hungry in the process – because you know, it’s nail polish.

This is a really pretty barbie pink in Jolie Rosalie.

6

This is such a holiday color – reminds me of pumpkin pie and egg nog with holiday spice. Yum! Okay Roseanne, probably dinner time soon.

8

Meet Rose Plumetis which is a really nice pearl silver shimmer pink. Very balerina – esque.

I absolutely love this shade of purple. My cell leader wore this shade with her gelish nails and I’ve never looked at this purple the same way again. When my aquamarine nails fade, I’m totally sporting this color!

Ta-Da! I’m typing this right now and looking at my nails. Geez, it really does look like I just went out and got my nails done. But girl, you know I did them myself. #proudmoment
