I think if you know me enough, you would know that I’m a qualified foundation junkie. They’re essential make-up items, clearly because they serve as a base for the rest of your make-up and unlocks the key to looking flawless and polished. Without a good foundation or even application for that matter, you could look like the ghost from Casper instead of a hottie ready to take on the world. That being said, I’m always on the hunt to find the best foundations so today I’ll be doing a review of the L’Oreal Lumi Magique Light Infusing foundation which I have grown to love and wear daily now.

So basically, you’re talking a natural complextion and a healthy glow with a little more staying power than other foundations. Let’s put it to the test.
Packaging & Texture:
I think this is one of the prettiest drugstore foundation bottles out there. I love how they used Rose gold for the color and it reminds me of a Michael Kors watch. It also comes with a pump which is convenient because it does have a lighter consistency than other foundations and if in a bottle, would cause major wastage. I love the texture of the foundation. It glides on super smooth and doesn’t leave a sticky finish. It has a great quality to it and is able to cover most flaws without feeling heavy. My color is in w3 Golden Beige.

But really the true test comes to putting it on. I’m using a synthetic flat top kabuki which is the number one brush I recommend for applying liquid foundation mainly because it blends foundation out flawlessly and is able to pat on the foundation for places where you want to double up as a concealer. I am absolutely in love with how natural this foundation feels on my skin. If feels very light and almost melts into what it’s trying to cover.
After application, you can see that there is a subtle glow but the shimmer is not obvious or overwhelming. I love how it completely matches my skin, even in undertone. Golden beige has a gold undertone that is able to illuminate the complexion. You can see that it doesn’t feel cakey nor does it look cakey and looks much like your natural skin, just that your flaws are now covered.
So overall, this foundation is for sure a winner. In terms of lasting power, expect a normal hold, not an extended one. I say about 6 hours and you probably want to look into sweeping some powder. But it’s turned out to be one of my favorite foundations in terms of finding natural looking coverage. Stay away if you have oily skin, the glow might complicate things. But for dry to combination skin, I’m sure you’ll find it quite the awesome.
