Work-Appropriate Look of the Day + Outfit

Hey Everyone!

So tomorrow will be my fourth day of work and I must say I’m having a blast being an intern for an advertising firm! Dressing well is pretty important when meeting clients so here is a work-appropriate look that I’ve been doing every day.

When finding a work-appropriate look, you want to look for a look that not only suits you but isn’t too dark and dramatic. A neutral look that matches most outfits is perfect. In this post, you’ll also get a few product reviews of current products that I’m using in my everyday routine. Enjoy!

Step #1: After priming, use a light silver pink eye-shadow all over the lid. Use a blending brush to sweep the colour.

Step #2: Use a darker brown in the outer corner of the lids to create dimension. This is from the Stila Marrakesh quad, one of my favourites. I’ve also used the same blending brush. Blend into outer corner and crease to create a subtle outer V.

Step #3: This KATE super sharp liner is my new favourite everyday liner. It was too sharp at first almost too poky but gradually the tip softened so that it stopped hurting upon application. It gives great pigmentation and stays on all day.

Step #3: Line your lids with your favourite liner. I must say the liquid pencil is a nice break from using an additional brush with my gel-eyeliners.

Step #4: Emphasise your eyes further by lining your tight line and waterline. If you want to go less dramatic, skip this step but I feel it gives a sleek finish.

Step #5: Mascara time! This is one of my favourite mascaras once it has dried out a bit – the Benefit Bad Gal Lash! It lengthens, curls and volumizes just the way I like it!

Don’t forget to do your eye-brows! As for my foundation routine, I usually use a sunscreen, primer, the Maybelline Superstay 24/Hr foundation, MAC Studio Finish concealer and Maybelline Dream Matte powder. I finish off with the Hoola By Benefit as a contour and MAC’s Pink Swoon to blush!

For an outfit, I love to dress in a simple dress or blouse and amp it up with accessories. This look looks expensive but with the dress being from Valleygirl ($24), necklace ($7) from Diva, bracelet ($29 on sale) from Mango and paired with your favourite watch- you’ll trick everyone at the office!

Have fun at work tomorrow!

Love,

Roseanne
