Review: L'Oreal Lumi Magique Light Infusing Foundation

Hey Everyone,

I think if you know me enough, you would know that I’m a qualified foundation junkie. They’re essential make-up items, clearly because they serve as a base for the rest of your make-up and unlocks the key to looking flawless and polished. Without a good foundation or even application for that matter, you could look like the ghost from Casper instead of a hottie ready to take on the world. That being said, I’m always on the hunt to find the best foundations so today I’ll be doing a review of the L’Oreal Lumi Magique Light Infusing foundation which I have grown to love and wear daily now.

The L’Oreal Lumi Magique Light Infusing Foundation claims to do the following things:

So basically, you’re talking a natural complextion and a healthy glow with a little more staying power than other foundations. Let’s put it to the test.

Packaging & Texture:

I think this is one of the prettiest drugstore foundation bottles out there. I love how they used Rose gold for the color and it reminds me of a Michael Kors watch. It also comes with a pump which is convenient because it does have a lighter consistency than other foundations and if in a bottle, would cause major wastage. I love the texture of the foundation. It glides on super smooth and doesn’t leave a sticky finish. It has a great quality to it and is able to cover most flaws without feeling heavy. My color is in w3 Golden Beige.

Applying the L’Oreal Lumi Magique Light Infusing Foundation
But really the true test comes to putting it on. I’m using a synthetic flat top kabuki which is the number one brush I recommend for applying liquid foundation mainly because it blends foundation out flawlessly and is able to pat on the foundation for places where you want to double up as a concealer. I am absolutely in love with how natural this foundation feels on my skin. If feels very light and almost melts into what it’s trying to cover.

After application, you can see that there is a subtle glow but the shimmer is not obvious or overwhelming. I love how it completely matches my skin, even in undertone. Golden beige has a gold undertone that is able to illuminate the complexion. You can see that it doesn’t feel cakey nor does it look cakey and looks much like your natural skin, just that your flaws are now covered.

So overall, this foundation is for sure a winner. In terms of lasting power, expect a normal hold, not an extended one. I say about 6 hours and you probably want to look into sweeping some powder. But it’s turned out to be one of my favorite foundations in terms of finding natural looking coverage. Stay away if you have oily skin, the glow might complicate things. But for dry to combination skin, I’m sure you’ll find it quite the awesome.

Hope you liked this review!

Saw your video on it and I went to check it out at Priceline today, I’m in the colour Rose Beige and it’s a perfect skin tone match for me. The only downside is the price, $30+ for a bottle? No thankyou, I found one for half the price on Ebay lol

    • roseannetangrs (author)

Yeah that’s true, it gets pretty pricey in australia!

  • Sheri

Great review Roseanne! It looks like flawless coverage! 😀
What are your thoughts about the RImmel Lasting Finish and Almay Clear Complexion??
Because I’m itching to go to Priceline and get one of them, and I’m especially interested abt the Almay one but not sure if i should!

    • roseannetangrs (author)

Thanks Sheri! Rimmel is a bit thick but very flawless. It kinda gets cakey if you don’t use the right powder. I don’t know much about Almay though. I suggest this foundation, the maybelline superstay, dream matte mousse, colorstay or loreal true match..or even australis fresh & flawless 🙂 check out my foundation reviews!

I think you got the shade name wrong. It’s W3 Gold Linen. W3 golden beige is for L’oreal true match foundation.
Thanks to you, I started using L’oreal true match foundation.
Would you recommend this foundation for combination-oily skin?
My skin is a bit funny. My cheeks and forehead are normal but I have a very oily T zone….

    • roseannetangrs (author)

Oh! it says golden beige on my bottle hun 🙂 yep it’s good for combo oily skin as well 🙂 hope that true match is going well for you. I totally understand the Tzone problem, not much you can do with that honestly..just blot throughout the day 🙂
