Hey Everyone!

Fall is basically here and it’s one of my favourite seasons not just because of the pretty leaves but it’s the make-up looks that I love too! Here in Singapore, we don’t get fall unfortunately but that doesn’t stop me from delving into fall colors and makeup! My latest acquisition is the Urban Decay Pulp Fiction palette from Urban Decay’s fall 2014 collection! You can get it at Sephora and it retails for SGD $52, if you’re curious.

The Urban Decay Pulp Fiction palette consists of 5 shades that is a mix of subtle shimmer and totally matte. Righteous, Tyranny and Anger are all matte colors while Vengence and Furious have hints of shimmer. It’s the perfect palette for fall because when I think of a fall look, this palette is a classic example. They’re all shades of brown and cream with the exception of a very useful matte black. Along with the collection is a lip pencil, lipstick and nail polish in Mrs. Mia Wallace which is a dark red that I didn’t get. Instead, I dug up Guerlain’s Iris Noir lip pencil to sub in for my lips! Today I’m going to be showing you how to do this beautiful look that will for sure turn heads this fall!

Today I thought I might do a tutorial and review of the Urban Decay Electric Palette! It’s Urban Decay’s newest palette and it’s so gorgeous. You’ve probably seen it already at Sephora and I’m sure you know that I’m not that popular with such bold colors but it’s really fun sometimes to sit down with something like this and try out different color combinations! So that’s exactly what I did and I came up with this! It’s easy to do and there’s a step by step tutorial!

The shades I used were Freak all over the lids, Gonzo in my outer corner, Chaos in my Outer V, Urban and Jilted in my crease. It’s really about blending everything together and not going really high up on the eye.

“Which Urban Decay Naked Palette should I get?” That’s probably one of the most common questions I get asked around this time of the year! Whether you’re getting the Urban Decay Naked Palette for yourself or for somebody else, it really can be a tough decision. There are four eye palettes now that belong under the Naked family – Naked, Naked 2, Naked 3 and finally Basics. I’ll break each palette down for you and give you my opinions on which palette is the most worth while. By the way, I totally lost my Naked 2 Palette this morning. I have no idea where it is :( But I have done a review on it already a while back so you can check it out here.

Hey Everyone!

Sometimes I like to sit down and get out my eye-shadows and play with make-up in my free time. It’s sort of relaxing and therapeutic. It’s really just an impromptu thing so I decided to share it with you all from now on too. I always shied away from showcasing these looks because I couldn’t make them full-fledged make-up tutorials with all the steps but I thought I would shrug my shoulders and not be so hard on myself. Take it is an inspiration or just a look of the day post!

The inspiration behind the look is really this – the Urban Decay Loaded eye shadow! I’m happy to announce that I’m one of Sephora’s chosen ambassadors and they will be sending me products to my door every month to try out. This beauty was inside this month’s box and I was so happy because it is just such a beautiful dark green shimmer. It’s deep and pigmented and I just had to put it in a look somehow. I thought of maybe integrating it into a fall/autumn look because we’re in that season now but I always do natural and neutral kind of looks and I wanted to do something more colourful and vivid. So..I came up with this.

Hey Everyone!

I finally got my hands on the most famous baby of 2013, the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette. I am in LOVE with Urban Decay eyeshadows as you probably would have known judging from my tutorials and I was so excited when I got my paws on this one.

The Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette features six essential shades – five being matte and one being a frost shade. This is the ultimate palette for neutral eye wearers like me and the matte shades help even mature ladies get the best for their buck. In fact, for more mature women – matte shades help to enhance the eye while shimmer shades enhance the wrong thing such as wrinkles. Nonethless, no matter what shade you are, going matte isn’t a boring idea at all. However, if you’re the more colorful type, you might want to use these colors in the crease that will help contour the eye as a mix of matte and shimmer on the eye can go a long way.
