Hey Everyone!

The world of creative falsies has always been foreign to me. I mean, when would I find the occasion to wear lashes with red and green feathers or even to the more simple diamonte ones? Probably never. But, going to make-up school helped bring out the crazier side of me and that’s when I learned of Paperself lashes. If you think feathers is a bit too cray cray for you, then how about paper cut out eyelashes? That’s right.

So when eyesbright.com contacted me to see if I’d like to review one of these, I was more than excited. For all of you who are unfamiliar with eyesbright.com, it is one of UK’s leading eye accessories retailers and they provide us not only with cool falsies like Paperself, but also a myriad of different contact lenses – from cat eyes and panther eyes to halloween contact lenses to UV electric blue lenses. They also do face and nail and lip tattoos! SO, if you’re looking to make your next costume better than anyone else’s, you can make it complete by checking out what Eyesbright has to offer. I mean, seriously, what they offer is so quirky and cool, I would hop onto their site just for pure entertainment.

Hey Everyone,

How To

Applying perfect eyeliner can be a difficult task for the newbie in make-up to some of the experts. It’s something that requires practice and patience. But if you’re out of both, here is a really easy way to put training wheels on your eyeliner. All you need is a dark eye-shadow like a matte black or brown that will be your eye definer and a sharp synthetic angled eyeliner brush. Use these two tools as your training wheels. Simply draw on the eye shadow where you would put your eyeliner. The synthetic angled eyeliner brush (I recommend the Ecotools one) will help you draw precise lines with the shadow.

I know, I can’t believe it too, Christmas is just around the corner.  So to celebrate, here’s a make-up look which is a fresh take on the classic gold eyes and red lips everyone seems to wear during Christmas. Instead, I’ve switched it up a bit, skipped the liner and added a bold and magazine glossy pink lip. In fact, if you have black hair, hot pink lips are one of the most flattering lip colors you can wear! Better yet, it’s a collaboration with the lovely Sunnydahye!

This look is also inspired by  the Chanel Noel 2010 collection. I’m always obsessed with Chanel make-up looks on their advertisements and you’ve probably figured that out about me since I do so many tutorials on them.

Hey Everyone!

We’ve all been there. Your Mom or significant other is yelling at the door, “Come down now, we’re going to be late!” and you’ve just woken up wondering why your alarm clock refused to go off this morning. That, or you’re just plain lazy and want to just slap on something quick before you head out. Whatever the reason, when we don’t have the time to look like a celebrity, here’s a simple make-up look you can do before heading out.

All you need is..well not much. I decided to skip the eye-shadows, contouring and powder saving me lots of time. But enough talk, let’s go. The first step is to use a decent BB cream, not foundation since BB creams in my opinion look more natural and like your skin and with this amount of time, you don’t want to worry about color matching and a thick mask. I’ve been using the Bobbi Brown BB cream quite frequently because I don’t have to worry about the color either. If you live in a humid country, you might want to take two seconds to put on some powder especially if you’re out for a while!

Hey Everyone!

The first time I spotted Caviar nails, it instantly reminded me of yummy vanilla cupcakes and sprinkles. Of course, I thought it was a bit odd and then it grew on me. It’s an adorable nail trend and after seeing Fleur De Force’s blog post on the MUA (Make Up Academy) Nail Constellations, I had to go out and get myself some from Superdrug, the local health/beauty pharmacy in London. It’s much like Watsons in Singapore or Priceline in Australia. I obviously couldn’t wait to sprinkle magic on my fingernails so here’s my first try at it! I think the MUA Nail Constellations are great, they’re the cheaper version of the known Ciate nails and only cost me about £3!

Hey Everyone,

It’s that time of year again. It’s that time to whip out the folders, pens and put our thinking caps on for back to school. Although the morning bus won’t be driving by my house anytime soon (or ever), I thought I might do a great make-up look you can do for back to school! I asked you all on my facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/roseannetangrs) what make-up look you wanted me to do next and most of you raised your hands to a picture day and school look. I also have FOUR Maybelline Back To School Goodie Bags full of great make-up products (shown above) so at the end of this post, find out how you can win your very own!
