Today I thought I would do a tutorial on my everyday make-up routine! I change it up from time to time and I have been absolutely loving the products I’ve been reaching for daily so I thought now would be a great time to show you! Out of the lot, my must-haves are the Laniege Pore Control BB Cushion, Laniege Water Drop Tint, 3CE Full Cover Concealer and the Loreal False Lash Butterfly Mascara. I can’t do without these and I will for sure probably re-purchase when I run out. I always have my 3CE Full Cover Concealer & Laniege Water Drop Tint in my bag in case!

Today I thought I might do a tutorial and review of the Urban Decay Electric Palette! It’s Urban Decay’s newest palette and it’s so gorgeous. You’ve probably seen it already at Sephora and I’m sure you know that I’m not that popular with such bold colors but it’s really fun sometimes to sit down with something like this and try out different color combinations! So that’s exactly what I did and I came up with this! It’s easy to do and there’s a step by step tutorial!

The shades I used were Freak all over the lids, Gonzo in my outer corner, Chaos in my Outer V, Urban and Jilted in my crease. It’s really about blending everything together and not going really high up on the eye.

When I think of Chinese New Year, I think of copious amounts of one of my favourite foods (pineapple tarts), hong baos, lots of red and gold and also…cherry blossoms! My nails were a bit drab and I had no time to go get them done like everyone else seems to have had this year so I decided to do them myself tonight and try a new design! I was looking up Chinese New Year nail art and chanced upon a few good ones but I really like how simple and classic cherry blossoms can be! Here’s a tutorial on how to achieve this pretty design so you can show them off in the next couple of days!

I woke up this morning and decided to do my nails. It’s Christmas Eve! I’ve seen so many people with these Christmas sweater nails and I fell in love with them at first sight. I could have gotten them done at a salon but who knows how much that would have cost me. So last night before dinner when I was waiting for Jacob to hurry up and park the car, I saw these babies at Guardian. They are the Model Own Nail Art Pens. I initially spotted them as stripers because I opened the cap and saw the thin brush but soon realised that they can be used as pens too. I’ve been looking high and low for these. I do own nail art brushes and pens without the paint but they are so difficult to use. I quickly grabbed three colors – the gold, white and black and took them to the counter. They were $17.90 each which was a bit of a hefty price tag but since I spent hundreds on Christmas presents already, I was like..hey let’s just do it.

Do you want to build a snowman? To be honest, I didn’t know I was going to like this movie this much. I really liked it. I watched it twice in two days. Yeah. I don’t want to give you any spoilers but it was so cute, funny, honest and just so cute and being the make-up artist in me, I couldn’t stop staring at Elsa’s hair and make-up! Gosh, those pink and purple lids with that windblown hair was absolutely gorgeous. It was so gorgeous that I woke up this morning wanting to do a make-up tutorial on it!

To recreate Elsa’s huge eyes, I had to create some dimension. After coating my lids with a white cream base, I added a pink frost because her lids are dazzling. I had to then add a matte hot purple toned pink to my outer corners and my inner corners to give the illusion of those rounded cartoon eyes. With a matte black, I framed my outer v and blended it in to give it a bit more oomph and to finish off, I added a bit of a shimmery and sparkly lilac just in the centre to make the eyes pop. Elsa’s version is much stronger but I figured you might want to see the more wearable and day appropriate look so I made this version which is for sure more “me”. Don’t forget your winged liner, liner on your waterline and false lashes too!
