Hey Everyone!

hihi

I don’t know about you, but I am a huge fan of The Simpsons! I grew up with it! I used to come home and literally wait for the show to air at about 6PM everyday on the local TV. It’s so funny but it has some grown up humor as well that I love! So when M.A.C came out with The Simpsons collection, I was so excited.

I managed to get my hands on one palette from the collection – Marge’s Extra Ingredients. I believe there are a few more eyeshadow quads from the collection but I feel this is the most wearable of the lot because purples tend to suit any skin tone! The quad is so cute. On the front, Marge is peeking out at you! I reckon this might be her eyeshadow palettes if she did use make-up. Marge’s Extra Ingredients seems to be inspired by her hair I believe! When you open up the palette, you have four shades and I love how each of them is imprinted with Marge’s face as well. So adorable. This particular palette comes with Harpooned Heart (a light pink), Sexy PB & J (a deep purple), Beehive Blue (a cosmic blue) and Vivacious Vacuum Cleaner (a blue black). Don’t you love the names?

Fall is basically here and it’s one of my favourite seasons not just because of the pretty leaves but it’s the make-up looks that I love too! Here in Singapore, we don’t get fall unfortunately but that doesn’t stop me from delving into fall colors and makeup! My latest acquisition is the Urban Decay Pulp Fiction palette from Urban Decay’s fall 2014 collection! You can get it at Sephora and it retails for SGD $52, if you’re curious.

The Urban Decay Pulp Fiction palette consists of 5 shades that is a mix of subtle shimmer and totally matte. Righteous, Tyranny and Anger are all matte colors while Vengence and Furious have hints of shimmer. It’s the perfect palette for fall because when I think of a fall look, this palette is a classic example. They’re all shades of brown and cream with the exception of a very useful matte black. Along with the collection is a lip pencil, lipstick and nail polish in Mrs. Mia Wallace which is a dark red that I didn’t get. Instead, I dug up Guerlain’s Iris Noir lip pencil to sub in for my lips! Today I’m going to be showing you how to do this beautiful look that will for sure turn heads this fall!

Hairstyles that have curled hair are so pretty. In fact, curled hair can be really versatile because they add volume to your overall hairstyle and make things instantly girly and romantic. I know that we don’t have a lot of time in the morning so here are two hairstyles that use curled hair –  that seriously only take me two minutes. They’re simple and great for everyday but are still able to put a twist in what you do. If you want to watch how I curl my hair, you can do so here!

The first hairstyle is what I call the Sideways Tuck! It’s an adorable hairstyle that is perfect for school or Uni and really, it takes under a minute. After your hair is curled, take a front section of hair. It shouldn’t be too thick but not to thin either, something like this.

Today I thought I would do a tutorial on my everyday make-up routine! I change it up from time to time and I have been absolutely loving the products I’ve been reaching for daily so I thought now would be a great time to show you! Out of the lot, my must-haves are the Laniege Pore Control BB Cushion, Laniege Water Drop Tint, 3CE Full Cover Concealer and the Loreal False Lash Butterfly Mascara. I can’t do without these and I will for sure probably re-purchase when I run out. I always have my 3CE Full Cover Concealer & Laniege Water Drop Tint in my bag in case!

Today I thought I might do a tutorial and review of the Urban Decay Electric Palette! It’s Urban Decay’s newest palette and it’s so gorgeous. You’ve probably seen it already at Sephora and I’m sure you know that I’m not that popular with such bold colors but it’s really fun sometimes to sit down with something like this and try out different color combinations! So that’s exactly what I did and I came up with this! It’s easy to do and there’s a step by step tutorial!

The shades I used were Freak all over the lids, Gonzo in my outer corner, Chaos in my Outer V, Urban and Jilted in my crease. It’s really about blending everything together and not going really high up on the eye.

I’ve been getting used to using an eyebrow pencil lately and have been really liking the strong brow look. I usually use an eyebrow powder but at times I feel that it can’t do super sharp lines and it’s pigmentation is obviously lacking too. It’s good as a natural brow but for something with a little kick, I’ve been using a pencil. Probably the most popular eyebrow pencil is a particular one from M.A.C called Spiked. I’ll be doing a little tutorial on how easy strong brows can be!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

First of all, the M.A.C Spiked Eye Brows Pencil is pretty amazing. It comes as a thin pencil that is thankfully automatic so you don’t have to sharpen it. It also has quite a narrow tip so that drawing specific lines is quite convenient. Spiked is a chocolate brown that is quite dark and more suitable for very dark brown to black hair tones. Although it’s really whatever floats your boat. A general rule of thumb is that your brows should be no more than 1 or 2 shades lighter than your hair color.
