Hey Everyone!

Today I want to share with you the beauty products that I keep on my bedside table! I figured this would make a great post because I never really talk about what I use every single night before I go to bed. I keep these babies on my bedside table because I don’t want to forget to put them on and to me, they’re really lifesavers due to my now dry skin. So let’s get started!

1. The Body Shop Spa of the World Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil

This an absolute must-have for unwinding before you sleep. I love this so much and it smells so good. The Body Shop Spa of the World range is a recently released body care range that incorporates beauty rituals from diverse parts of the world.  Whether it’s taking Kukui oil from Hawaii or clay from the Himalaya, using this body range feels really like having the entire world’s beauty rituals right in your bathroom. It’s amazing!

Can you believe it? I used to be a total online shopping addict but instead of buying new outfits, I bought tons of make-up! In fact I used to scour the web for the best make-up stores online that could ship international! What makes shopping online for beauty products better than at the counter – well it’s open 24 hrs so say hello to nights when you can’t sleep and it’s cheaper so if you can get it online, you might be able to save 10-30% on it. For me, a good beauty online store should have good international and local shipping rates, a large variety of brands, a good variety of shades available of a particular product and have sturdy packaging so there are no breakages. Also the ability to ensure something is authentic is really important too. I was just introduced to a new online beauty products retailer called BeautyFresh (www.beautyfresh.com) not too long ago and it fits my criteria very well! Let’s check it out together and see what I got!

Today I’m excited to share with you a trip I had to the Philippines a few weeks ago! Cetaphil invited me down and a few other bloggers and winners to the Philippines recently to attend a very special regional empowering and educational retreat called The Cetaphil Experience. Here, Cetaphil brought women from all over the region to learn more about skincare and confidence in an array of workshops held by dermatologists and even a life coach. As for my expectations, I expected the experience to be like any press trip I go on – filled with facts and figures – but it turned out to be an amazing bonding session with the girls I met there and more encouraging and inspiring than I could ever imagine. I can’t wait to show you more!

One place I’ve always wanted to visit and got to check off my list this trip was going to a provincial town called Grasse on the French Riviera. It is undoubtedly the perfume capital of the world and where Gabrielle Chanel herself made the iconic fragrance – Chanel No. 5. In fact, it’s where most “noses” (those who are in charge of creating the formulas for your signature perfumes) are trained in Grasse to distinguish between thousands of scents. In fact, 2/3 of France’s natural aromas are produced here and most iconic fragrances are made in Grasse! It was a priviledge to include this on my trip to the French Riviera and I can’t wait to share with you 7 Facts I learned about perfume while in Grasse. Let’s start!

I was in Guangzhou a couple weeks ago and chanced upon some imitation make-up! I’ve heard about these before and have seen them all over ebay but have never seen them in real life. My parents and I were walking along the famous Beijing Lu in Guangzhou when we came across a few stalls selling fake cosmetics. It was more of a “wow, this is so cool” reaction to be honest just because I thought whoever made these fakes were very creative. Obviously I wasn’t going to get any but I did ask the Auntie if I could snap a few pictures for you all so here they are!

Hey Everyone!

hihi

Apologies for the lack of updates. I’ve been extremely busy with November! Especially with the launch of Bloom. Here’s are my current beauty favourites!

Biore Micellar Cleansing Water – Bioderma’s new competitor. This cleansing water is just like water but removes make-up just as well as their make-up wipes. I love the Biore make-up wipes, they are the best you can get in Singapore right now so I’m happy they made this amazing cleansing water. It’s easy to remove eyeshadow glitches without making your entire eye oily. Something you should for sure have on your vanity.
