Hey Everyone!

Aren’t you glad the holidays are nearly here! I’m so excited. Of course along with the holidays comes the season of gift giving and I was happy to attend the Sephora Holiday 2015 Christmas Dinner earlier this week. During the dinner, we got a sneak peek into what sets and beauty gifts we can get for our loved ones this Christmas so let’s take a closer look at my favourite ones!

To be honest, I thought Sephora had the best and most interesting gifts this year. I feel like Sephora brand products are actually a bit underrated – they’re always super on trend and their products are not bad at all. Some key things to look forward to is the Sephora Advent Calendar (SGD$69) filled with bath and accessory suprises including little gifts from fizzing cubes to eyeshadows and lip pencils. It makes a great early Christmas gift so you can start counting down on December 1st. I also thought the Color Wonderland Sephora palette (SGD$85) featured below on the right is very impressive. There are so many shades of eyeshadow and even highlighter that you can use and it’s similar to opening a wonderous book of color. I really like it. I noticed a lot of mini book palettes as well. It is certainly an extensive collection you should check out.

Hey Everyone,

1.1

I feel like it’s been a while since I connected with you on a more personal level, sharing my feelings and thoughts. Today, I thought I’d just spill my thoughts everywhere, see where this goes and give you basically a general update of how I feel about life right now. Ever since I launched Bloom’s new location and Revolution in August, it’s been well let’s say a whole nother journey for me. It really feels like I’ve opened up a new chapter of my life and I’ve just started.

I think there are good sides and bad sides to every job. A lot of people tell me that I’m living my dream and that I am what every person wants to become. I feel like that’s a lot of pressure to take. I think that the grass is always greener on the other side. Yes, I am doing what I want to do but although I try to keep a strong front, there are times when you’re wondering what on earth are you doing. It feels like you’ve taken off and have started flying but there are times when you stop and look down and kinda shock yourself at how high you’ve flown. Sometimes I ask myself why I’ve done this to myself – after all, getting a 9 to 5 job is so much easier. I would finally have weekends, a steady salary, can finally plan financially and the movement of my company wouldn’t depend soley on well…me. It feels like there are eyes everywhere, eyes that yes want you to succeed and other eyes that can’t wait for you to fail – the constant pressure of having to look and be successful. It’s Painful. But in all this, I’ve really begun to discover a few things that I keep telling myself over and over again and I really hope it helps you too.

Today I’m excited to share with you a trip I had to the Philippines a few weeks ago! Cetaphil invited me down and a few other bloggers and winners to the Philippines recently to attend a very special regional empowering and educational retreat called The Cetaphil Experience. Here, Cetaphil brought women from all over the region to learn more about skincare and confidence in an array of workshops held by dermatologists and even a life coach. As for my expectations, I expected the experience to be like any press trip I go on – filled with facts and figures – but it turned out to be an amazing bonding session with the girls I met there and more encouraging and inspiring than I could ever imagine. I can’t wait to show you more!

Today marks a seriously special occasion, the launch of the NEW Bloom. Bloom by Roseanne is my personal make-up school where I conduct personal make-up lessons and workshops for people like  you and me. In a nutshell, it’s where I teach you how to put make-up on yourself. I’ve been doing this for around a year but and at home and the exciting news is I’ve moved to my own office and brand new studio! It’s a giant leap of faith for me. I’ve also taken alot of time and reserch from all the surveys you filled out to redesign the entire class structure so that you can customise the way you learn make-up! I am so excited! Plus there’s a new trial class price ongoing for a limited time only so be sure to sign up a the end of this post!

I’ve been hard at work filming my vacations and my Switzerland vlog is up already on my youtube channel! I’m heading to France tomorrow morning and will start in Nice first!  I don’t want to leave my blog dusty so I thought I would let you know my top 5 picks to go make-up shopping in London! I hope it comes in handy if you’re thinking of visiting here too.

To be honest with you, I’ve never been much of a bookworm and probably the only books I’d actually read are well, make-up books! Even then, I don’t have that big a stash as I prefer to do my learning online. However I do have a special few and today I have decided to share my current favourites. Special thanks to Pansing books who sent me them a month ago and now they’re both stacked on my bedside table whenever I feel like a good read. I think no matter what level you are, expanding your knowledge is always important. Bobbi Brown is my favourite just because I really feel a connection when I read them and I like how it’s all about embracing and loving yourself too.
